Girls Weekend in Vegas

First, you should know that this will not be your typical girls weekend post. I am a 38 year old woman and I went to Vegas with my Mom and my sisters. We were in bed by 11 most of the weekend. True story! Ha!

That being said, my Mom wanted to hang with her daughters and she had free rooms and Lady Antebellum concert tickets for us for our birthdays. We love hanging with our mom so we packed up and headed a few hours toward Las Vegas, Nevada.

We stayed at the Linq Hotel, which has an incredible Promenade that connects you to two other hotels: The Flamingo and Harrah's. There is a ton of shopping and great places to eat along the Promenade so you will always have something to do if you are not the bar hopping type.

I took this time to be present in Vegas and not stress about taking so many photos. I wanted to take pictures, sure, but I hardly had my phone out. But here is what we did:

Pool for a few hours (of course!)

Lady Antebellum Concert (so amazing!)

More pool.

Lots of delicious food.

Sleep in until 7:00 a.m.

Had appetizers and drinks at Vanderpump Cocktail Garden.

Breakfast at the Hash House A Go Go.

The girls at Lady Antebellum! They are amazing live.

The Vanderpump Cocktail Garden in Las Vegas, obviously made famous by the gorgeous Lisa Vanderpump herself. The atmosphere was stunning and it literally looked like a gorgeous outdoor garden party complete with hanging lights and chandeliers. It was beautiful and I felt so classy. The host was so sweet and we chatted with him for a bit about Lisa Vanderpump, the show Vanderpump Rules, and even the restaurants in LA (Sur, which he started at before he was transferred to Las Vegas.) They don’t have a full menu, but they specialize in small bites and their cocktails. Their appetizers were delicious. I didn’t love my drink, but my sisters did. I was fully satisfied by their appetizers, though. Manchego stuffed Bacon wrapped dates and goat cheese balls were a HUGE hit.

Hash House a Go Go….simply amazing. They had so many options. I decided on a mimosa and their Chilaquiles, which were so delicious and filling. I was tempted to try their chicken and waffles. Next time. They do have one in San Diego, so maybe I will do a road trip with the kids over there to enjoy some. I am sure they would love it!

We had a lot of fun just literally being lazy and relaxing and listening to good music and eating amazing food. I think eating is our favorite part. That and laying out by the pool, if I am being really honest. Good times, y’all!

We honestly did not take a ton of photos this past weekend. Normally, I would have my phone out constantly and take as many photos as I could...you know….to document my time.

But this time, it was just nice to just do stuff and not have to worry about catching that perfect shot. We got the photos we wanted (which are literally in this blog post) and we feel really good about it. This weekend girls getaway was what we all needed. And it is scientifically proven now too that a girls weekend is good for your health. So ladies, if you haven’t had one in a while, book a trip asap!

I think I am ready to plan my next girls trip. Any suggestions on where the Rush girls should go next? We are thinking a trip to Nashville would be a great idea!

Share your favorite girls weekend trips with me!
