A Trip for Two in Clearwater, FL

Bill and I just came back from the most spectacular vacation and to be quite honest with you, I wish I was still in Florida.

I am a summer baby through and through. My birthday month is August. I grew up going to the beach, the river, and spending countless hours by the pool. If there is a body of water, I wanted to be in it. Summer months equal sunshine and happiness.

We stayed at the Wyndham Grand hotel in Clearwater, Florida. It was stunning. Bill booked a gulf front room for us so that we could wake up in the morning and have coffee with views like this.

Imagine waking up each day to the Gulf of Mexico in your view. Take me back.

Each morning was slow and lovely. We put on our robes, Bill made coffee and we just sat and took in the views. Then we made our way to the beach across from the hotel.

We basically did this a lot.

And this.

We spent equal amounts of time eating amazing food and drinking yummy beverages and having an amazing time. We basically had huge smiles the entire trip.

On the final day of our trip, we saw Coldplay and fulfilled a bucket list item of Bill’s. To watch his face light up during the entire show was there cherry on top. There is something magical about watching someone you love get to fulfill a dream, a wish or a goal. You want them to win and experience everything they have ever wanted and hoped for.

Can I just say that holy cow, Florida is really hot and humid and we were drenched in sweat during that concert. Hahahahaha! We were literally jumping and dancing around with EVERYONE in that arena and it was totally worth it. Definitely felt like a sauna though. Probably shedded a few pounds in water weight due to how much I was sweating. 🤣

I don’t know who needs to hear this, or read this, or whatever the case may be, but I hope you are planning a trip, memory, moment with your boo. This vacation was very much needed for the two of us. He and I are incredible busy with our careers, Our kiddos and everything else. We love it and wouldn’t have it any other way. We were made to be who we are and do what we do. And we were designed to be parents to our kids. That won’t change. But he AND I matter too. Our relationship matters.

I knew I wanted someone in my life who made US a priority. Because I place so much value in my relationship and I give my all, I wanted someone who would do the same. Grateful for Bill.

Loved our trip. Loved our getaway. The memories were life changing and memorable and we can’t wait for our next getaway together.
